MATERNITY PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful experiences in a woman's life When you look back on these photos you will instantly recall the anticipation and excitement you felt waiting for your little one to enter the world. Schedule an intimate solo shoot or one that includes your family for some spontaneity and a few giggles too.

NEWBORN AND BABY PORTRAIT SESSIONS

From first smiles to first steps your baby's first year of life is constantly evolving. A first-year photo shoot may include a newborn, 3-month, 6-month and/or first birthday session. At Drum Hill Studios you'll have access to all the comforts of home and the time you need for feedings, diaper changes and cuddles in between.

CHILDREN AND TEEN PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Young children continue to grow year after year. Their teen years are the last before adulthood. These sessions can be more playful or stylized.

FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Family portraiture is a tangible expression of the love you share. A relaxed, informal setting will give your family the freedom they need to be themselves. After all, moments are not posed, they're lived.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Hiring an event photographer lets you relax and enjoy the event, engaging with your guests without worrying about capturing the memories created at this special event.

STEP 1. Together we’ll decide on the best date and time for your session.

STEP 2. An online session contract will be prepared for your review. Once your signed contract and reservation fee are collected your session date and time are secured.

STEP 3. We’ll discuss the creative direction of your session. This may include such things as location, props and wardrobe. It’s a collaborative process!

THE BEST TIME AND PLACE FOR YOUR SESSION

MATERNITY: Maternity sessions typically take place in the seventh month of pregnancy - this is when Mom looks and feels best. Her belly has a beautiful shape but she isn't feeling the discomfort that is sometimes felt in the last weeks of pregnancy.

NEWBORN: When possible newborn sessions should be scheduled prior to your due date. Your due date becomes a placeholder on my calendar. When your baby arrives we will move the date if necessary. Younger newborns sleep more soundly and are able to maintain that adorable curled-up position that parents love so I recommend a date no later than 10 days following your baby’s birth date.

BABIES: These are typically scheduled so they won’t interfere with your baby’s nap time. While not always predictable, parents generally know the time of day their baby will be at their best. A well rested baby is a happy baby!

CHILDREN, TEENS AND FAMILIES: These sessions can take place almost anywhere at anytime. We could go to a lake at sunset or your very own living room. When shooting outside I prefer early morning and just before sunset because these are the times of day when the light is the softest and most flattering. An indoor session, on the other hand, can take place any time of day because I can control the light.
