I have loved visual arts for as long as I can remember. I studied television production, art and design in college and had a successful career in advertising for many years. I always enjoyed photography but really came to understand how invaluable it is when my father passed away at a very young age. Photographs were all I had to hold onto.
When I had children, like all new moms, I became obsessed with photographing every detail of their young lives. I realized how rapidly they change and I didn’t want to miss a minute so I invested in a DSLR camera and started taking digital photography classes. I learned the art of composition and light.
One day I literally had an epiphany. I could combine everything I learned as a student, a professional and a mom and start my own family portrait photography business. I launched Drum Hill Studios in 2012.
I offer a custom experience. It’s tailored to suit your specific needs and personality. I make an effort to find out what my clients like and don’t like and make suggestions on wardrobe and props to suit their needs. I take their happiness and satisfaction very seriously.
I always say a photograph is a gift that only gets more valuable with time. As a photographer the most rewarding aspect of my work is knowing that I have been able turn some of the most memorable moments of my clients’ lives into something tangible that they can carry with them for a lifetime.
